The horizon look ominous and the trail condition is definitely not improving. It is only steeper and now we have entered a vast moraine strewn field. It is what we call here in Arizona a huge boulder field Footing, navigation, and balance are all compromised for the next 3.5 miles. Trekking poles are a must!
