The road to Rogers Pass was long, but definitely worth the drive. We happened to spot a small black bear climbing down a ridge. Like other areas in Canada, the scenery was amazing. We experienced some rain during our travels from Golden. The vegetation was similar to what we typically see between Prescott, AZ and Flagstaff, AZ. Numerous pine trees, various types of shrubs, and some Gamble Oak type trees. We were often following the old Continental Railroad tracks along the way.
